I don’t want to go into too many details; however, I want to document my feelings. It is incredible how a person can put on a brave face, come out to the word and say, this is who I am. I hope you can appreciate the real me. What baffles me is when that same person can be that strong and not say the same to family members. Families are complicated; I wish I knew a good answer. The old me would say, put on your grown-up pants and deal with it. That advice is not bad in many cases, but the status quo becomes comfortable when dealing with years of hiding yourself from your friends and family, especially your family. Is there a correct answer? Maybe but I am sure the answer is it depends.
What are your thoughts? I ask for a friend; yeah, that sounds right, a friend.
