Presidential Speech

I know this might ruffle some feathers, but I believe we should all express our opinions respectfully.

I had the opportunity to stay up and watch the President’s speech last night, which, as anticipated, was quite fiery. Joe Biden was the first Democrat I ever voted for in a presidential election, and given the alternatives at the time, the choice was clear to me.

That choice, while not leading me directly to where I am now, made me aware of the vast differences in our political landscape. We don’t always have to confront or understand these differences, but we can strive to be respectful and empathetic toward one another.

I don’t agree with every decision the President makes, nor should I be expected to. What I do appreciate is the way he presents himself, and Vice President Harris’s demeanor aligns with that same respect. This election cycle presents us with a crucial choice: do we want a leader who genuinely tries to do the right thing or one who seems solely focused on personal gain?

I won’t sugarcoat it—Trump is a deeply problematic figure. Even if his policies were excellent, it wouldn’t change my view. His behavior, including constant dishonesty and attempts to undermine our government, is concerning. Don’t be fooled by his claims of ignorance about Project 2025—if you’re not familiar with it, you should research it.

If you choose to vote for him, I’ll respect your decision, even if I don’t agree with it. I just ask that you consider what you’re getting in return if he becomes President.
