As mentioned, I met with the doctor, who prescribed me estradiol valerate. I received my first injection this past Thursday, and nothing magical happened(of course). Changes will take a while, but I am amazed that any little thing that happens to me, I immediately think, “Oh my God, the drug is having an effect.”
On my first night in bed, I slept on my arm with my right hand under my right breast. I woke up with a slight pain in the nipple area, and the quick-thinking part of my brain said, you are already growing breast tissue. Once I had time to think, I realized that was not possible. This morning I woke up in a mood; I typically am in a good mood, so once again, my brain jumped to conclusions. I am so excited to get that second shot and maybe have something little to report on, but I doubt it.
I made this blog to report on my progress through this life-changing event, and even though nothing has happened yet, I thought it essential to write about what is going on with me, even if there are no changes to report yet.
