I have not posted since February and that is bad. I keep this website as a journal of sorts. If I do not use the site, what good does it do me. I am of course writing again and I hope to start writing more of my story. In the meantime, there are several things that have happened since February.
On May 29th, I had facial surgery. The surgery went well but they worked me over well.\

On August the 4th, I had vaginal revision surgery. I had several complications from the original surgery which required some touchup work. I am happy to say everything went well. I even got to visit the Texas Chili Parlor, which is an amazing spot to eat in Austin Texas.

Finally, I had my Gal bladder removed last Tuesday September 29th. Unfortunately, I had some issues that were not clinical in nature. Below is what I typed in Facebook a couple of days later concerning what happened to me. I have modified some of the text to clean up or clarify.
When I did the paperwork the hospital had my sex as male. This was not the case a week before, it was female. For those who know me they know my sex is female. I asked the person to fix it. They would not fix it, they were following the instructions that was given to them. I took the band and went to pre op mad as hell. The nurse took my BP and it was 155 over 87. She said, “you must be nervous “. I responded with I am fing mad(I used the full word and then apologized ). I went on for 5 minutes venting. I told her I wasn’t mad at her in any way. She left and a few minutes later another nurse came in and asked me my gender. I told her female. She came back later and asked if I was born male. I said yes. She then asked me about my anatomy. I said female. She left and a few minutes later she same back and told me that I should have been flagged as female and gave me new wrist bands and new paperwork. I asked if they were only doing this to shut me up. She told me that it was permanent and it should have already been entered. She made my day. I don’t expect everyone to understand why my gender is a big deal but I appreciate people who try to be understanding. The nurses that I had were all great.
The interaction at the hospital emboldened me. I had been fighting with another hospital and clinic chain about the same thing for months. I decided to message them. I told them about my gender and how there were two big hospitals chains in Arkansas that corrected my gender. The company reached out to me and asked to see my license to verify my gender. I of course presented it and the person said the following.
Ok, I updated the sex; however, without updated documentation it is possible it is changed back by another user following the registration guidelines for our facility.
I responded back asking, what documentation, it is or should be documented in my chart. The person reached out later and told me that they see the documentation and that it has been noted in my record. I have an appointmet with the sleep clinic in November so we shall see if it was changed.
I am hoping to keep up with my documenting here. I have so many items to talk about. I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and I have been introduced to a whole new world of graphs and numbers. I can’t wait to post about it. Below is an example.

Unlit Next time.
